Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions for our immigrant community being held in custody. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
With your Donation
We will:
- make the Detainee Advocacy Project's "Maine Immigration Resource Guide" available for free download in PDF format for advocates and family of individuals in custody through the Detainee Advocacy Project website.
- distribute a copy of the Immigration Resource Guide to each facility that may hold an immigrant in custody within the state of Maine.
- identify unmet needs of immigrants in custody through surveys and advocacy.
- update and maintain the Immigration Resource Guide to reflect changes within the government, resources or community it serves.
In addition, we be working towards:
- developing Immigration Resource Guides for additional states.
- developing a Spanish version of the Maine Immigration Resource Guide. Additional languages will be included as support/funding grows.
- distributing copies of resources directly to immigrants in custody.
